Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, the mayorÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s wife, remains one of my favorite characters of the play; and while the phrase didnÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™t originate with her, she liked to use it liberally - tempus fugit (time flies)!
