Art-o-Mat machine on campus for April

UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting an Art-o-Mat machine for April. This machine has been refurbished to dispense small works of original art for $5. Summer Sessions is located in Eielson 216 and open Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Faculty Alliance Thought Leaders Forum

On March 28 and 29, the Faculty Alliance will hold a forum for UA faculty, staff, and students to explore the ethical integration of Artificial Intelligence into educational practices. The forum will be via Zoom and run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 29.

BLaST celebrates Gabriel Miller as March 2024 Scientist of the Month

Gabriel Miller is a second-year BLaST Scholar and plans to graduate in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology. He is from the small village of Ninilchik, É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ, where he has lived all his life. His hobbies include drawing, hiking, insect collecting, and any other activities outside in nature. MillerÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s career goal is to enter the biomedical research field after graduate school. He recently was accepted to the University of VirginiaÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s Neuroscience Ph.D. program where he plans to focus in neuroimmunology.

Roweena Carlos named Nanook Technology Services chief information officer

This position, reporting to the vice chancellor for administrative services, is part of the updated IT structure, enabling UAF to address university needs and provide innovative campus-centered solutions.
