Rasmuson Library open house will showcase railroads

The University of É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Fairbanks Rasmuson Library will host an open house Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., for the É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ and Polar Regions Collection and Archives. This event will showcase collections focused on É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s many railroads.
The open house is an opportunity to experience historical photographs, films, maps, recordings and other memorabilia celebrating É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s rail heritage. É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Native Language Archive materials will also be on display.
Visitors may also peruse the Rasmuson LibraryÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ book sale. This sale of used and donated duplicate books continues through Nov. 3.
The open house is free and open to the public. Parking on the Troth YeddhaÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™ Campus is free for visitors after 5 p.m. unless otherwise designated.
