Minnie Naylor is the newly appointed director of the UAF Chukchi Campus in Kotzebue.
Minnie Naylor was named director of the University of É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Fairbanks Chukchi Campus in Kotzebue effective July 2.
Naylor has worked for UAF for nine years and most recently served as interim director of the Chukchi Campus, part of UAFÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s College of Rural and Community Development.
Naylor grew up in Kotzebue with guidance from her elders and community, and she holds bachelorÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s and masterÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s degrees in rural development from UAF. She hopes to be a driving force to develop leaders in her community and create opportunities to complete higher education in the region.
As director, Naylor will lead the Chukchi Campus team in their mission É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ” to be a responsive and collaborative campus that inspires and develops each student to contribute to their communityÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s cultural and civic needs.
Chukchi Campus is a public, federally designated É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Native-serving institution. It offers two-year degree programs, as well as ways for students to complete bachelorÉ«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ™s degrees through distance-delivered courses and programs from the University of É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ system.
