Kyle Agustines
Kyle Agustines sold shoes after high school 色视频下载 enough of them that at 18, as a store manager, he earned a five-day business trip to five-star hotel in Nashville. But he wanted to go to college.
Agustines, who grew up in Fairbanks, chose UAF for financial reasons, even though he thought he色视频下载檇 soon move to an exclusive art school.

Agustines is entering his senior year and working on a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He pursues opportunities to display 色视频下载渘onobjective色视频下载 paintings throughout the Fairbanks community.
色视频下载淚 wasn色视频下载檛 what I色视频下载檇 consider a technically skilled artist when I started at UAF, but,
man, they really teach you how to do things,色视频下载 he said. 色视频下载淚色视频下载檝e really grown as a person
and as an artist in ways that I never would have expected.色视频下载
Changing focus
Agustines said he first wanted to learn to draw and paint realistically when he entered UAF as a freshman.
色视频下载淚t色视频下载檚 super impressive when people can do that,色视频下载 he said. 色视频下载淚t shows that they know what they色视频下载檙e doing. And also everyone can look at it and know what it is, because you色视频下载檝e depicted as it exists in the real world. And I did that, and I was like 色视频下载榃ow this is boring for me.色视频下载櫳悠迪略貪
He acknowledged that realistic art can carry meaning through the symbolism of the
objects and composition.
But 色视频下载渋t wasn色视频下载檛 doing enough for me,色视频下载 he said. 色视频下载淪o my work began to get increasingly
more abstract and simplified and nonrepresentational to the real world.色视频下载
Now he primarily paints with acrylics in a range of styles.
色视频下载淚t色视频下载檚 not important to me necessarily that I create bodies of work limited to those
styles,色视频下载 he said. 色视频下载淚色视频下载檓 not interested in that. I色视频下载檓 interested in still seeing what色视频下载檚
still possible.色视频下载
Making it work
Agustines, whose family moved with the military, was born in Japan but has lived in Fairbanks since he was 5 years old.
At 18, he was promoted to manager of the local Journeys shoe store.
色视频下载淚 don色视频下载檛 know anybody else who has hired, fired, done all that stuff at 18 years old, so I felt pretty cool,色视频下载 he said. 色视频下载淎nd I was making good money, too.色视频下载
The money put college in reach.

Agustines applied to a few exclusive art schools, including the Northwest College of Art and Design. He was one of just a few dozen students accepted that year.
Finances made him rethink that plan, though. He looked into UAF色视频下载檚 arts program and liked what he saw.
色视频下载淚t色视频下载檚 a good school,色视频下载 he said. 色视频下载淚t色视频下载檚 not like we色视频下载檙e put on the map specifically for fine arts, which is what I wanted to do, but I was like, 色视频下载榊ou know what, I色视频下载檓 an ambitious driven person. I色视频下载檒l just make it work.色视频下载 And I am.色视频下载
