Anchoring the Future: UAF CBSM Students and the É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Blue Economy Center

With the mission of connecting the University of É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Fairbanks' business students to the seafood industry in É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ and supporting fishery sustainability, É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Blue Economy Center (ABEC) and the UAF College of Business and Security Management have collaborated to deliver meaningful opportunities for the college and potential benefits for the industry. CBSM student and alumnus, David Sauter, has been participating in the fishery sustainability certification space and engaging with stakeholders representing regulators, sustainability certification bodies, seafood harvesters and processors, and É«ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Native organizations representing communities dependent on sustainably managed fisheries.
